Trendy Geometric Neon Lights Necklace

Light up a beaded necklace with DecoArt's new Americana® Acrylics Neon Lights.

SUPPLIES

    • soft cloth
    • painter's tape
    • small round brush
    • wooden beads
    • cording
    • small flat brush
    • liner brush
    • medium flat brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use painter's tape to tape off half of each of the round beads. Pinch together the painter's tape to hold the bead. Using a soft cloth, apply Rose Gold.

    3. Paint all the cone-shaped beads in Knockout Blue using a small flat brush.

    5. Using a small round brush, paint sections of the geometric beads in yellow and peach. Let dry. Once dry, use a liner brush to outline and add dots or stripes in the opposite color. (Allow some of the wood grain to show through.)

    7. Once all beads are dry, spray with Americana Matte Spray Finish.
    8. Thread the cording through a geometric bead. Align the bead in the center of the cording. Thread each end of the cording through the blue cone bead in the opposite direction.

    10. Thread on two round beads on each side of the cone bead with the Rose Gold side facing inward.

    12. String a blue cone bead onto one side of the cording. String a geometric bead. String the same side of cording back through the blue cone. (See photo.) Alternate sides and repeat until all beads are used. Tie off the cording to the desired length.
