Upcycle CD Storage/Display Tower

Turn your old CDs into a storage/display tower for mini creatures with Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • wooden spools
    • E6000 Glue
    • wooden balls
    • CDs

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    The colors shown here are simply suggestions. You can use any colors within the Multi-Surface Acrylics line. A rainbow tower would be very beautiful!

    1. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint CDs in Shrimp, Orange Sherbet, and Pink Tropics, or any combination of your choice. Add contrasting color around the perimeter. For the small tower, use Coastal Waters, Deep Turquoise, and Chartreuse.

    3. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint three wooden spools in Shrimp. For the small tower, paint two wooden spools in Coastal Waters.

    5. Use E6000 Glue to adhere the CDs and spools together.

    7. For the large CD tower, place a fourth CD on top.

    9. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint five wooden balls in Shrimp for the large tower. For the small tower, paint five wooden balls in Coastal Waters.

    11. Use E6000 Glue to adhere four wooden balls to the bottom of the tower and one to the top.
