Upcycled Decou-Paged Plastic Jars

Adding fabric to jars with Americana® Decou-Page™ gives them new life as organizers.

SUPPLIES

    • scissors
    • hole punch
    • fabric scraps
    • plastic bottle
    • medium brush
    • baker's twine
    • cardstock

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Remove the label and wash the plastic bottles.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Cut the fabric scraps to fit the flat part of the bottle only.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use a medium brush to adhere the fabric to the plastic bottles with Matte Decou-Page. Let dry.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Adhere fabric scraps to the cardstock with Matte Decou-Page. (Make these larger than the intended size of the finished tags.) Let dry.

    9. Use scissors to cut the tags into the shape and size of your choice. Use a hole punch to make a hole. Use a Black Glass Paint Marker to write whatever you are going to be stashing in the bottles, such as buttons, gems, beads, etc. Use baker's twine to tie around the top part of the bottles.

    11. Use a medium brush to paint the caps in coordinating colors. Let dry, then place back on the bottle.
