Turn an ordinary thrift store find into a modern accent statement with DecoArt® Silk™.

SUPPLIES

• clean cloth
• newspaper
• medium round brush
• metal vase

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Gather the materials.

2. Wipe down the vase to remove any dirt or grime. Prime the areas where you want to add color by painting them with two coats of Navy Blue. (Using a medium round brush, you can get a nice coverage and minimal brush-strokes.) Let dry completely.

3. Rinse the medium round brush and use to paint on Navy Silk. Allow to dry. Add another coat if needed. Allow to dry completely.

4. Use a brush or a finger to apply a light coat of Matte Metallics Champagne to the top section of the vase. Let dry completely.

5. After the paint is completely dry, buff the surface of the vase with a piece of newsprint or newspaper.

6. Buffing the surface brings out the beautiful golden specks in the Silk paint.
