INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Prep your surface by sanding any rough areas and wiping it clean. Gather all of your supplies such as paint, fabric, and brushes (or sprayer).
- Paint trunk in beige. You can apply the Satin Enamels paints with either a brush or a paint sprayer. This project was painted using a paint sprayer.
- Once the paint is dry, cut a piece of plywood and a piece of upholstery foam to fit the top of the trunk. Adhere the foam to the plywood using glue or very strong permanent spray adhesive.
- Cut a piece of fabric that is big enough to fit around all four sides of the foam. Using a hand-held staple gun, staple the fabric in place onto the bottom of the plywood.
- Apply glue to the top of the trunk; carefully position the new cushion and let dry according to the glue label instructions.
