Light up your decor with vintage scrapbook papers and Americana DecouPage Glue on a pair of wooden switch plates.

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • one sheet each: cream and black vintage and gray and white vintage scrapbook paper
    • brayer
    • two wooden light switch plates
    • scissors or box cutter

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use 3/4" flat brush to paint one light switch plate Light Buttermilk and the other Zinc.
    2. Trace light switch plate with pencil onto two scrapbook papers.
    3. Use scissors to cut out both shapes. Hold over light switch plate to make sure it is right size or a little larger.
    4. Use 3/4" flat brush with DecouPage to cover top of switch plate.
    5. Wet scrapbook paper and immediately place evenly on top of switch plate.
    6. With brayer, roll from center out to remove any bubbles and to secure it better to surface.
    7. Using same flat brush, apply more DecouPage to scrapbook paper to seal.
    8. When completely dry, go back with box cutter and cut out hole for switch out and remove paper hanging from switch plate edges.
