Stencil a t-shirt with a custom vintage camper design using freezer paper and Crafter's Acrylic.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • #10 flat brush
    • X-Acto® knife
    • iron and ironing board
    • cutting mat
    • freezer paper

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Choose a design. For this t-shirt, choose a vintage camper design. Draw the design directly onto freezer paper or print out pictures and trace them onto the freezer paper.
    2. Use an X-Acto knife to cut the design out over a cutting mat.
    3. One side of the freezer paper will feel like plastic and the other side like paper. Lay the stencil on the t-shirt with the plastic side down and iron it for a few seconds, making sure to completely seal the edges of the design. The heat seals the plastic to the fabric so that no paint sneaks underneath when you are painting your design.
    4. Instruction #3
    5. Mix Crafter's Acrylic with fabric medium according to the directions on the fabric medium. Using a small paintbrush, paint inside the stencil. You will probably need a few coats of paint to get even coverage.
    6. Once your design is painted on, carefully peel off the freezer paper.
