Vintage Framed Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall: upcycle plastic into vintage accent mirrors.


    • water container
    • paper towels
    • white cloth
    • painter's tape
    • 1" chip brush
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • plastic framed mirrors



    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Wipe down the mirror and frame with a damp paper towel to get off any residue.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use painter's tape to mark off the mirror so the paint will not get on it.
    4. Use a 1" chip brush to basecoat the frame with Vintage. Rinse brush.

    6. Use the Waxing & Finishing Brush or a 3/4" flat brush to apply Clear Crème Wax. Rinse brush.

    8. While still wet, apply the Deep Brown Crème Wax over the Clear Crème Wax with the same brush.

    10. Use a clean white cloth to wipe back the waxes to your liking. If it is too dark, just apply more Clear Crème Wax on top and wipe back again.

    12. (Optional) Once it is dry, you can buff the frame using a clean white cloth to achieve a satin finish.
