Vintage-Style Assemblage Pumpkin

Found objects, like a tin box, old nails, and plastic dog bones, become a one-of-a-kind Halloween decoration.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #6 round brush
    • foam pumpkin
    • found objects
    • E6000 Glue
    • plastic bones

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to clean the foam pumpkin.

    3. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the pumpkin with two coats of Almond. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the top stem in Lipstick. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the mouth in School Bus. Use a #6 round brush to outline the mouth in Lipstick.

    5. Use E6000 Glue to glue on the nuts and bolts for the eyes, nose, and teeth.

    7. Use a #6 round brush to paint the right eye in School Bus. Adhere the rusty nuts with E6000 Glue. Use a #6 round brush to add accents to the left eye in Lipstick.
    8. Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to clean the plastic bone arms and legs. Use a #6 round brush to paint stripes on one in Lipstick and on the other in Black Tie. (Refer to the finished project photo.)

    10. Use E6000 Glue to adhere all the pieces together. (Refer to photo for placement.) Adhere the pumpkin head to the top of the tin box.
