Western "Cowgirl" Wall Art

This cowgirl won't get the blues with this western-themed stenciled wall plaque.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 2" flat brush
- 2" chip brush
- #10 flat brush
- craft glue
- cosmetic sponge
- stick-on rhinestones
- #1 round brush
- wooden stars
- wooden plaque
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a 2" flat brush and load with Burlap to basecoat the entire plaque. Rinse brush. Let completely dry.
- Use a 2" chip brush and Burnt Umber and wipe off the excess on a paper towel. Dry-brush the plaque vertically to look like weathered wood. With the same brush, paint the edges. Rinse brush.
- Use the Saloon Between the Lines Stencil for a word of your choice. Load a cosmetic sponge with Coral Blush and lightly pounce on each letter to spell the word or name. Remove and wash the stencil.
- Use a #1 round brush and Burnt Umber to outline each letter. Rinse brush.
- Use a #10 flat brush and Coral Blush to paint three stars. Rinse brush. Use the same brush and Burnt Umber to paint the other three stars. Rinse brush.
- Use a craft glue to adhere the stars where you want them.
- Use stick-on rhinestones to glam up the sign more.
