Winter can be bright and beautiful with DecoArt Americana Premium Acrylics!

SUPPLIES

    • ruler
    • old toothbrush
    • 1/2" angle shader brush
    • pencil
    • 1 inch blue painters tape
    • palette knife
    • 1/2 inch flat brush
    • 3/4" brush
    • 20" x 20" Canvas

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Gesso the canvas. Draw on 5 mountains in varying heights.

    3. Base coat the sky with the brush loaded with Cobalt Turquoise Hue and corner dipped into Titanium White. Add in some Cobalt Teal Hue tipped in White as well. Use the Extender to help with Blending.

    5. Basecoat the mountains from left to right in the following colors mixed with Titanium White: Pthalo Green Blue, Quinacridone Viotet, Dioxazine Purple, Yellow Green Light, Pyrrole Red.

    7. Float/shade around the mountains and top edges of the canvas with Prussian Blue Hue.

    9. Tape off the moutains and basecoat again from left to right in the following colors with the brush loaded with the color then corner tipped with Titanium White: Pthalo Green Blue, Quinacridone Viotet, Dioxazine Purple, Yellow Green Light, Pyrrole Red. Use the Extender if required for blending. Let dry. Draw on the snow and base with Gesso.

    11. Base the snow with Titanium White. Load the brush with a little extender and shade with Cobalt Teal Hue.

    13. Spatter using an old toothbrush and watered down Titanium White.
