NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use tape to mark lines on the lamp shade. Paint alternating sections with Deep Turquoise and Turquoise Waters using a 1" flat brush. Once dried, apply a second coat. Remove tape.
- Paint plate in Turquoise Waters using a cosmetic sponge. Allow paint to dry completely between coats.
- Using a cosmetic sponge and #2 round brush, paint clock in Flamingo.
- Using cosmetic sponge, paint teapot Orange Sherbet. Use a #8 flat brush that to add stripes of Turquoise Waters, Flamingo, and Cocoa Bean.
- Fill the teapot with floral foam.
- Place the clock upside down in the opening of the teapot and glue it into place using E6000 according to packaging instructions. Cut a dowel rod (paint in Flamingo) to glue behind the clock, like a tripod leg, to keep the clock from falling backwards.
- Insert floral stems into the foam behind the clock. This will help hide the dowel rod and add whimsy to the piece. Arrange flowers as desired.
- Glue the lamp shade upside down to the plate to create a hat, using E6000. Glue the hat to the three legs of the clock using same glue.
- Optional: Tape battery operated string lights inside the lampshade.
