Wooden rounds and Americana Acrylics combine on a one-of-a-kind holiday wreath.

    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • detail brush
    • small paintbrush
    • birch value bag

If displaying the wreath outdoor, be sure to use a stronger glue.

    1. Begin to arrange the wooden slices into a circle. (Use approximately 10 of the large-sized slices for this circle. The largest of the slices should be positioned near the bottom of the wreath.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Next, choose 5 of the smaller slices to be the accent pieces. (They will be placed on every other joint or connection of the larger slices.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Glue all of the connections together where the slices touch.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Cover the smaller slices in glue.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Press the smaller accent slices into position on top of the connection areas.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Flip the wreath over when the glue has set and glue even smaller slices onto all of the connection joint on the back of the wreath.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Add a bit of water to Santa Red and Hauser Light Green so that the wood grain will still be visible when the slices are painted.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Alternate Santa Red and Hauser Light Green on the accent pieces. Paint the largest slice near the bottom with Hauser Light Green. Let the paint dry thoroughly before hand-lettering.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Hand-letter each accent slice with a holiday theme or simple design using a small detail brush and Zinc.
    18. Instruction #9
