Woodland Animals Wood Slice Ornament

This peaceful woodland scene on a simple wood round is painted with Americana® Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- stylus or pencil
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- #8 flat brush
- #0 liner brush
- #12 flat brush
- ultra fine point Sharpie® marker
- jute twine
INSTRUCTIONS
- Trace and transfer the pattern.
- Use a #12 flat brush and Primary Blue to paint a horizon line between the animals. Add a little Snow White to the brush as you move upward.
- Add more Snow White to the same brush and blend up to the top of the ornament.
- Use a #12 flat brush and Snow White to paint snow. (See photo for placement.)
- Use a #8 flat brush to paint the fox Jack-O'-Lantern Orange with a Snow White tail tip; the bear, Dark Chocolate; and the rabbit, Neutral Grey.
- Use a #8 flat brush and Festive Green to paint the trees.
- Use a iner brush and Snow White to highlight animals' silhouettes.
- Use a liner brush and Snow White to paint the stars and to outline the trees.
- Use a liner brush to dab Crystal Twinkles on the stars and the top area of the snow.
- Trace or draw on the word "PEACE".
- Use a fine point permanent marker to write "PEACE". Thread jute twine through the hole to make hanger and tie in a bow.
